29 Faces 19 | 20 | 21

You may have noticed that I keep changing my blog around.  I'm just playing with it.  I am working behind the scenes on a new website for myself, so look for that in the coming weeks.

I have been doing faces, maybe not as diligently as I was at the start of the month, but I'm still hanging on.  I've got three new ones to share with you today.  It's been kind of fun coming up with new techniques and trying new things with my portraits.  All three of these are completely different.  Take a look.

29 Faces | 19 | This one was a straight up sketch from a fashion image.  I used graphite and ProMarkers (on the face) and a little bit of charcoal.

29 Faces | 20 | If any of you have been following me for a while, you'll recognize this lady.  I used her in a digi scrap kit a while back.  She's a drawing I did of a tattoo by Eric Lovino.  I wanted to play with the background and try a new technique, using gesso to make a three dimensional texture with a stencil.  It turned out so cool!  Anyway, supplies used are as follows: gesso, stencil, magazine strips, washi tape, Micron black pens, markers by FaberCastell

29 Faces | 21 | This is my version of my "Green Girl", inspired by images of the Green Man.  I had fun once again with the background and some of my stencils.  I used ink this time and layered them up.  There's also a text stamp in there by Hero Arts.  The rest is acrylic paint and Inktense pencils.
That's it for now.  I'll wrap up my Book of Days for the week and share tomorrow.

  1. I like them all but especially the first one - she's kind of funky, looks like somebody who'd take on the world and WIN!
